Darren is a Senior Vice President for Harwell Capital, with responsibility for raising capital for portfolio companies in international markets, predominantly in Asia. Darren has specialised in Venture Capital markets since 2007, raising substantial funds across Asia for a large number of international technology companies.

Darren has over 20 years experience in the financial services industry, spanning many different sectors and areas, and has been based in Asia since 1990, when he was posted to Hong Kong with the Royal Air Force monitoring UK Ministry of Defence contracts between military and civilian airlines.

After leaving the Royal Air Force, Darren worked for several high-profile financial institutions, initially as a broker in Hong Kong with a well-known and established international brokerage, where he became an Associate Director specialising in tax planning for HNW clients. After over 10 successful years he moved into the corporate world in 2005 as Area Manager for S.E Asia, for one of the leading Isle of Man Life headquartered Assurance companies, and in this position he was responsible for the development and promotion of the group and its products with a panel of key local and expatriate brokers.
