Tim is a Director of Harwell Capital and a Partner of Heligan.

Tim has over 30 years Investment and Wealth Management experience, including at owner and director level of regulated businesses.

Following private banking experience at NatWest Bank and Chase Manhattan, and fixed interest investment management and team management at James Capel, Tim joined Abacus, a leading independent offshore financial services firm in 1995 as Investment Services Director, where he developed new systems and practices for investment manager and client oversight and control.  Tim’s processes led to what is now industry standard for 'gatekeeper' functions, and remain the benchmark for the fiduciary functions internationally.  

The Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) acquired Abacus in 2005 and after 7 years in an expanded role at RBC, Tim left to join DPZ Capital and then Asset Risk Consultants (ARC). In both roles he undertook initial reviews of their activities, which spanned client, business and operational aspects, and then helped implement many key strategic recommendations, using his experience and disciplined approach.

Tim has spoken at numerous industry conferences in the UK and internationally, including for STEP, BPP and Newton Private Clients, and written articles that were published the Financial Times and other professional publications. Tim is a Chartered Fellow of The Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment UK (CISI).
