Rupert is CEO and Co-Founder of Harwell Capital and a Partner of Heligan.  Rupert is a seasoned international business professional, with experience at senior management level within one of Asia's leading groups, and has proven entrepreneurial experience.

Rupert has advised, and raised capital for, early stage technology companies since 2010, following a 10-year period as start-up entrepreneur in the F&B and Property and Leisure sectors, where he gained extensive experience structuring and raising funding for his own companies.

Rupert co-founded the Genesis Group in 2002, creating and managing a number of successful F&B concepts in Hong Kong over a four-year period.  He left the group in 2006, to structure and build luxury travel and shared access real estate club, Kaleidoscope, and raise funding for the business from private and institutional investors.

After graduating from Cambridge University in Modern Languages, Rupert joined the Swire Group in 1994, where he worked for 8 years in a variety of management roles in Taiwan, Papua New Guinea, Hong Kong and the USA, spanning the automotive, retailing, FMCG and logistics sectors. This included at senior management level as Director & General Manager of Swire Pacific subsidiary, Taikoo Sugar, where he sought and received approval from the Swire Pacific main board for a major restructuring plan of the 120-year old company, and then implemented it, principally through outsourcing of packaging and distribution.
